The story is about a global disaster that led to the end of the world and also the human struggle to survive from this disaster. Narrated, as panicked citizens of the world prophecy Maya Indians of Peru Inca doom came true. Statue of Christ the Redeemer that stands firmly in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, went to pieces. Meteor showers were followed by a fireball earthquake shook violently. No less thrilling, the Church of St. Peter's Basilica at the Vatican, collapsed. We will also struck by the USS John F Kennedy helpless storm and eventually sunk.
The film was originally directed by Michael Bay who also directed the film Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen, but for one thing, it was not so for these films. But then finally the name Roland Emmerich who directed this film. Previously Roland Emmerich also directed the film that is not less good, as Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow, and Godzilla. Films that cost U.S. $ 200 million was played by John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Danny Glover, Oliver Platt, and Woody Harelson.
